If you've ever been mocking up a layout and needed two paragraphs of placeholder text right now — not in three clicks, not after dismissing a cookie banner and a newsletter modal — this site is for you. I made it because every lorem ipsum generator I kept landing on was bloated with options I never used, gated behind sign-ups, or so slow to load that copy-pasting from a Wikipedia article would've been faster. I wanted something I could open in a tab, set the length, click once, and get on with the design.
What it does
Pick how much placeholder text you need — a few words, a few paragraphs, a wall of it — and copy it out. That's the whole thing. Standard lorem ipsum by default, with a few variations if you want them. Everything runs in your browser — nothing gets sent to a server, nothing gets stored, no account needed.
Who it's for
Mostly designers laying out mockups in Figma, Sketch, or whatever you use, but really anyone who needs filler text — developers stubbing out UI, writers blocking out page lengths, students putting together a quick template. If you've ever wished there was a faster way to drop placeholder text into a layout, you're the audience.
Why I built it
I'm slowly making a small collection of tools for designers — the kind of utilities I find myself reaching for during a normal work day. This is one of them. The goal isn't to build something flashy; it's to build something that's still here, still fast, and still free five years from now.
How the site stays free
Google ads. I try to keep them out of the way of the actual tool — no popups, no full-screen takeovers, no "click here to continue." If you ever spot something annoying, the Contact page works and I read everything.
